For everyone who is putting Dallas on the backburner this year is in for a big surprise. This team could have won it the last 2 years. Dallas will make the playoffs, win, and in my opinion, win the Super Bowl this season. Keep thinking Dallas is done. If they can stay healthy, and Romo can stay single, the Lombardi Trophy is on the horizon.

The hole left by safety Roy Williams? LoL…wow. The hole left by the guy who we benched & limited to 1st downs? The hole left by the guy who got injured & wasn’t even playing to begin with? When a player stinks, his absence doesn’t create a “hole.”
And no…every team didn’t draft a handful of starters this year. We did draft talent. Everyone drafts talent. Just because you don’t recognize the names doesn’t mean the team hasn’t improved. & I’ll be damned if DC needed starters neway.

Hopefully get Matt Jones? Newsflash “genius…” Matt Jones stinks. At least you know what you get with your own guys. And Austin has been improving dramatically. Austin & Hurd are solid backups when healthy. The Cowboys need speed to compliment having a bigger Roy Williams on the other side. Matt Jones doesn’t have the speed that Hurd & Austin have. And, I probably said this already but… Matt Jones *****.

If it “really doesn’t matter” than Tank Pac, and T.O. would still be here. You can’t see those guys get dropped and assume that Jerry Jones would somehow be salivating over Matt.
Not to mention the simple fact: Matt Jones stinks. He’s not a play maker. You better take another look at his stats, or should a say… a first look at his stats…

It’s also in part to Wade Phillips making Nick Folk kick towards the corners. That directional kicking wasn’t a strong plan last year. You can’t kick as far that way.

Matt Jones is garbage! The Cowboys will be fine with Austin and Hurd, they have more potential then Matt Jones. Rather have hard working young WRs then that trash who cant stay out of trouble.

You’re an idiot dude. Jerry has always liked signing troubled players, and look what that got us, 5 Superbowls. Anyways if the cowboys hopefully get matt jones i see us going deep in the playoffs. Why would you count on Austin and, Hurd ? Those guys are always injured , and there not that good. However the chances of the cowboys signing matt jones is unlikely.

1. Why did they draft another Tight End when they already have Beasts like Jason Witten and Martellus Bennet??
2. Hopefully with more depth in our secondary, we can have more turnovers on Defense, YAY!

They didn’t have to, there were I think 3 safeties taken in the second round, that have great potential. The Pats stole Chung in the draft. Anyway, what’s done is done. I’m not coming back to this page, good luck this season.

beuhler got drafted for specific kicking style. the cowboys are gonna try to boot every kickoff in the endzone. and mcbrier comin off an injury and nick folk’s hip surgery depth is always ok.

we got mad depth at safety or secondary is packed..they dont have the “wow” factor but we did get safeties… jerry jones saw it as a weak draft and almost bein maxed on the salary cap, he didnt see the need to go after a first rounder.

By playmakers, I mean talent positions on either side of the ball.You guys could have( should have) drafted a safety. They needed someone to fill the hole left by Williams, and you didn’t really get anything to compliment the other Roy Williams. And just about every team but Dallas drafted starters this year. The Cowboys will fall short, yet again.

If you’re refering to the cocaine-addict wide reciever that got kicked from Jacksonville, don’t count on it. Tank is gone. Pac is gone. Owens is gone. That pattern isn’t a coincidence. If we wanted 2 jump right back on the dysfunction train then we wouldn’t have bothered getting rid of those guys to begin with.

Show me the team that added play-makers & automatic starters with picks as far back as theirs thewho6507. Too many of you guys assume that the draft is an automatic gold-mine of all-stars when it’s not. Every team with picks that far back ends up drafting for depth. & in case you forgot…there’s this thing called “injuries” which Dallas had plenty of last year. Depth isn’t a preference, it’s a NEED. If you don’t have depth. You don’t get far. The Cowboys did what was necessary. Period.

From where they were positioned it was as good as they could get without trading up & losing players or next years picks. This years draft wasn’t stacked with all-pro players at all.
